Pre-Tour:
  • Arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport.
  • Meet and greet, followed by transfer to your booked lodge.
  • Depending on arrival time, enjoy a short Arusha city tour and cultural walk to experience local life and markets.
  • Dinner and overnight at your booked lodge.
Day 1: Arusha City → Tarangire National Park
  • Morning: Pickup from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast. Drive south through Maasai steppe landscapes and arrive at Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobab trees and large herds of elephants.
  • Game Drive: Explore the savannah woodlands and swamps where lions, leopards, and giraffes roam. Tarangire is also home to over 400 bird species, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise.
  • Lunch: Picnic lunch inside the park with views over the Tarangire River.
  • Afternoon: Continue your game drive, spotting wildebeest, zebras, and perhaps the elusive python coiled in a tree branch.
  • Evening: Exit the park and drive to Fig Big Tree Lodge in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.
  • Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner.
Day 2: Mto wa Mbu → Serengeti National Park
  • Morning: Early breakfast, then drive through the Great Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Highlands, with a short stop at the crater viewpoint for panoramic views.
  • Midday: Enter Serengeti National Park via Naabi Hill Gate. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by sweeping grasslands.
  • Afternoon Game Drive: Explore Central Serengeti (Seronera area), known for its resident big cats – lions lounging on kopjes, cheetahs stalking the plains, and leopards resting in acacia trees. Large herds of wildebeest, buffalo, and zebras dot the endless savannah.
  • Your guide and chef will assist in setting and dismantling the tent each evening and morning to make your camping experience easy and connected to nature 24 hours a day.
  • Evening: Dinner and overnight at Seronera Public Campsite under the starlit African sky, where you may hear lions roar in the distance.
  • Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 3: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Conservation Area
  • Morning: Sunrise game drive in Serengeti – the best time to see predators hunting. Watch hippos in pools and elephants moving gracefully across the plains.
  • Breakfast & Lunch: Return to camp for late breakfast, then pack lunch boxes for the onward journey.
  • Afternoon: Depart Serengeti with en-route game viewing as you head toward Ngorongoro. The road passes through varied landscapes – rolling hills, forests, and Maasai villages.
  • Your guide and chef will assist in setting and dismantling the tent each evening and morning to make your camping experience easy and connected to nature 24 hours a day.
  • Evening: Arrive at the crater rim in time for sunset views over the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Dinner and overnight at Simba Public Campsite, perched on the rim with cool highland air.
  • Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater → Mto wa Mbu
  • Morning: Early breakfast, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater (600m deep), a natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the few places you can spot all the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard) in a single day.
  • Game Drive: Explore the grasslands, swamps, and Lake Magadi – home to flamingos, hippos, and grazing antelopes. Lions and hyenas patrol the crater floor while black rhinos are often spotted near the thickets.
  • Lunch: Picnic lunch beside a hippo pool.
  • Afternoon: Ascend from the crater and drive back to Fig Big Tree Lodge in Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.
  • Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park → Arusha City
  • Morning: After breakfast, drive a short distance to Lake Manyara National Park. This lush park lies at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment and is famous for its tree-climbing lions, flocks of flamingos, and troops of baboons.
  • Game Drive: Explore the groundwater forest alive with monkeys and birdlife, open savannah where giraffes and elephants roam, and the lakeshore full of aquatic species.
  • Lunch: Picnic inside the park.
  • Late Evening: Drive back to Arusha. Drop-off at your booked lodge for overnight stay or transfer to the airport depending on your onward plans.
  • Meal Plan: Breakfast & Lunch.
Post-Tour:
  • Drop-off at Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport or hotel of your choice.
