EXCELLENT Based on 117 reviews Posted on Jacek N.2025-08-30Verified the goal was to see the most of Tanzania National Parks and we were successful. Hadzabe Agency organized us a 6 day Safari. just for my wife and me. we had an excellent time and the guide Masunga was outstanding. very helpful, very supportive. The lodge pick by Hadzabe was awesome.Posted on Nuria M2025-08-12Verified Definitely Recommend! Had a great time! Amazing Experience! Would definitely recommend!!This was my first safari, went with my sisters and mum and I didn’t know what to expect but we saw incredible views, animals and had the best time. We stayed a few nights in a very nice lodge and did camping for two days in Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We even got an extra trip to Matarouni waterfalls and Kikuletwa hotsprings around Moshi at the end! I have to say one of the best things of the trip was the amazing food! In the car with us we had the guide, Richard, the cook, Hamis, us four and a demanding Brazilian couple. The cook made delicious meals everyday for all of us, especially given the resources he was limited to during the camping. My favorite thing was the different fresh smoothies he would make every morning along with scrambled eggs, pancakes, bread… the avocado-mango smoothie was delicious. I have to say, he also made a very big effort to cater to the strict dietary requirements of the Brazilian couple with us who were very picky about what they wanted to eat or not and sometimes quite rude with the cook. We were getting protein for every meal, with fish or meat for lunch AND dinner with the exception of the last dinner. They became very passive aggressive with the chef and made a big scene, demanding more protein, which I think came as a surprise to most of us. Despite this, Hamis made them some nice omelettes in quick timing and offered to make some for us too if needed. Lovely service, lovely food. I have no criticism. The guide as well, Richard, was the chillest, nicest guy, always keeping us engaged with facts about the animals and Masai culture. He was great at explaining things and teaching us dance moves after dinner! He also had to deal with a few unexpected issues during the trip like the cooler breaking down on the first day and the incremental inexplicable agression from the Brazilian couple over the days. Despite this, he managed the issues and always kept the vibes up and made sure we had cold beer, coca cola and water in the car and at every meal! Lastly, big thanks to Bernard who was readily available to help us at every step of the journey if there were any queries or issues. Lovely food. Lovely people. I highly recommend booking with them.Posted on Malena M2025-08-12Verified Unforgettable experience, definitely recommend We did the 5-day safari with some activities on the side, traveling as a family of four. In the jeep with us there was also a couple, our guide Richard, and the cook Khamis. For me, the experience was incredible. The number of animals we saw really reflects how professional they are. From elephants crossing just in front of the jeep to a pride of lions lounging in the grass, it felt like every drive brought something new. One morning, after we asked to leave even earlier than usual, we set out in the cold air while the sky was still pale — and sure enough, we found the felines on the move, still active from the night. The food was very good, especially considering the resources they have in the bush. I have to underline the pizzas, the bolognese pasta dinner, and the delicious pancakes we had every single morning, which became a small ritual before setting out for the day.Our time in Ngorongoro was unfortunately cut short because of a logistical problem, but Richard immediately adjusted the next day so we could still fit in the sightings and places that mattered most to us. That flexibility, along with his knowledge and Khamis’s cooking, made the trip unforgettable.Posted on Marta2025-08-12Verified Unforgettable Safari in Tanzania Our safari in Tanzania was unforgettable: we explored the main parks, surrounded by breathtaking nature. Our guide, Richard, passionate about his country, went above and beyond to show us its beauty and wildlife, sharing his love for the land and its people every step of the way.We saw a lots of animals, but we algo have a nice chat after the game drive about Tanzania, and their habitants.Posted on FabricioSander2025-08-08Verified Look elsewhere for your safari operator Do NOT recommend - Book your safari elsewhereI've recently completed a 5-day safari with guide Richard from Mashindiko Adventure and I cannot recommend them. While the landscapes and wildlife in Tanzania were incredible, the logistical and behavioral issues with the staff made the experience stressful and, at times, genuinely frightening. The GoodThe safari itself was a memorable experience, and the natural beauty of the region was stunning. Great animal sightings, including leopards. The guide explained a lot of things, but we needed to ask most of the time since he was not proactive. We had no car issues besides the refrigerator, which was broken. The BadThe problems began almost immediately and escalated significantly toward the end of the trip.Inadequate Itinerary & Guide: Guide kept trying to make changes to the safari plan without talking to us. On the 4th day, what was advertised as a full-day tour in Ngorongoro Crater was cut short to a half-day (we left at midday when the plan stated we should have stayed in the crater until 3pm). When we contacted the operator to complain, they said that this was the guide's fault for rushing, which felt like an unsatisfactory explanation for a service we paid for and no compensation was provided or suggested.Space: The car was very packed and we had almost no space to move as we had a full car of 6 tourists + guide + cook. On top of the 8 passengers and their bags, we had to carry all camping and food gear inside the car, which makes it very packed and uncomfortable. Not having an auxiliary car also meant loosing game drive time to pack the car on camping days. Food Issues: The quantity of food provided was consistently insufficient. My dietary restriction of no fish was ignored, and the protein portions were too small for our group of six (or eight during lunch). On the last day, we were told there was no more meat, which is unacceptable given the price paid and the fact that staff had been in town earlier that day. The car refrigerator was broken, so most of the time no cold drinks. Also, no wine was provided, despite the prospect saying that there would be.Hostile Staff & Safety Concerns: The most disturbing events revolved around the staff's behavior. On the final day, the cook uncomfortably demanded a tip, physically blocking our departure until we paid him. Later, the driver became extremely angry when he learned we would not be tipping due to the poor service. He stopped the car on the highway, screamed, drove erratically, and attempted to drop us off at an unapproved location with a different driver. His refusal to contact our operator and his aggressive tone made us fear for our safety. At some point we even thought he was scheming some kind of kidnap and we had to involve gas station security to ensure we were not being put in a dangerous position. Thankfully at the end we met our airport transfer that was able to finally get in touch with our office and take us away safely.ConclusionThe unprofessional and hostile behavior of the staff, particularly the guide, was a major concern. The experience turned from a safari into a frightening ordeal, and it is a situation no traveler should ever have to face. My group and I were left feeling unsafe and neglected by the company. Be aware that we booked through another agency and ended up with Mashindiko, so make sure to double check while booking which company will be executing the safari tour.Posted on Justin S2025-08-03Verified Tanzania safari Very good guide and group- made getting into the parks very smooth! In fact, we did the safari with one of his partners, and on the last day, he came to our hotel to meet us in person – a very thoughtful gesture. We will definitely visit again. Thank you!Posted on Clémence P2025-06-26Verified ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Un safari inoubliable – We just had an extraordinary experience on this safari, and I can only recommend this adventure 100%!Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish.
